Postural Stretches & Exercises


How your spinal and extremity joints function depends on the proper input from your nerves to control the area and the strength and flexibility of the muscles. Adjustments to the spine, shoulder, elbow, knee, etc. clear up the nerve interference to the area. However the adjustment may not hold if the muscle is either too weak or too tight, so stretches and exercise are an important part of chiropractic health.

Common stretches and exercise include:

  • Rotator cuff exercises for neck and shoulder complaints
  • Piriformis stretches and exercises for sciatica
  • Core stabilization exercises
